"I was a little worried after reading the reviews - but the hotel is actually a gem. Its location is perfect, just across from a swim pier on the ocean. It has free stand up paddle boarding SUP, as well as free kayaks and free bikes. The pool area is good, although the pool itself is a little shallow but still welcome to cool off it. "The Hosts, Roberto and his wife were excellent hosts. Made from scratch breakfast every morning and her Croissants were to die for including their fresh home made jams. Gorgeous view of the Valley and hills from the balcony. Oh, and I have to mention Roberto’s dad Vito…. He makes a mean cup of coffee. "

"I’m not sure why this resort has such poor reviews. First thing to note, the hotels.com map shows that the hotel is in the centre of Favignana town. This isn’t the case. It’s some kilometres away on the other side of the island. €16 in a taxi. The resort was built in the 70s but has obviously had a fairly extensive refurb in recent years. Big problem the shuttle back to the ferry which is offered as part of the service was refused apparently because the ferry left at 7.55am and the shuttle starts ay 8am. To be at tbe ferry the shuttle would need to have left at 7.30 !!! I was advised to get a taxi. I walked. The onsite shop and bar barista closed for tbe season midway through my stay. Very very annoying and a massive disappointment not to buy a coffee in the morning. Nearest...
