pool was nice as were the hotel public areas. I did however have a problem at check in. I had booked a room with a queen but received 2 double beds. Went back to reception and informed them and then was put in a room with 1 double bed. I have a feeling someone from the 2 bus tours that arrived got my room. To avoid the frustration I just stayed in the single. The room I was in only had a TV and air conditioning. No mini fridge, coffee maker or...

"Hidden gem. There's nothing in that town. I asked the host to recommend me a restaurant. It was absolutely dreadful, it was a truck stop, a f*ck load of mosquitoes. And the food was .5 out of 5 stars.the beds sucked, no t.v. took them about 6 hours after we checked for them to hit the breakers, so we can have electricity in our small cabaña,no store within walking distance. Like 10 dogs on the property. Very beautiful place but I felt like we were intruding in their little paradise"

"Casa Piedad was beautiful, so peaceful and calm. We loved that it was in the old, historic neighborhood of San Roman. The church of San Roman was a block away. Within two blocks are two delicious restaurants, Sanro (a minute away) Los Abuelos(in front of the church) a pizza place, a laundry (across from the church, Calle Bravo #16) a small mercado, and a bakery (Corazón de Pan, Calle 14, just past the mercado).
