Wait for the new ownership (won't be long)
This hotel feels like it once was grand, and like the last person to care about it must have passed away in the 70s. The basis is good, the hotel is well placed, but everything recent is done on the cheap, and it shows. I guess the front of house person I came across is of the owner's family (else he'd have been long sacked for being so unpleasant). Rest of the staff is nice and helpful.
