Lots of Misinformation...NOT a beachfront hotel...
After a rocky start at the hotel (did not have our paid reservation documented - good thing I travel with all of my proof and did not have to pay again as the Igloo requested...) Great stay and vacation, "igloo" rooms were cool and clean and pool was refreshing after the beach... however, misleading advertising as the "lodge" is NOT beachfront, does not have a spa nor gym and does not have premium rooms which we paid extra for, and is NOT a 2 minute walk to Manuel Antonio Park entrance...(15-20 minutes at a very fast paced walk) When the Manager was confronted about misinformation, he argued that "Expedia" rep must have printed wrong information and after arguing that if there were no premium rooms or you couldn't move us to a "premium room", we were given a free $14 pizza as compensation, Hotel would not refund difference in amount of price from "premium" and regular rooms paid and upon arriving back home, HOTELS.com (Expedia), would NOT refund partial amount of room because Igloo Beach Lodge would not respond or approve...

I appreciated the location of this hotel, a quick walk to the beach and you can walk to town as well. Room was good, could use a chair or something to sit in. Service was great and I enjoyed the food. The shower and sink had hair in and around it at my arrival, so cleanliness wasn’t their strong suit.

Perfect for a designation wedding
We stayed 4 nights. Very clean room and grounds. The pool was beautiful and a short walk to the beach on mostly level ground. The breakfast was just ok, and was included in the price. They charge extra if you want fresh fruit, 10$. And they managed to run out of fruit and failed to go purchase some. How do you run out of fruit in Costa Rica? As a vegetarian my only choice was toast with jelly, as their butter was weird.

Outstanding!
A truly remarkable place to stay on a trip to Manuel Antonio. The ‘igloos’ are very spacious and modern and are soundproof, have excellent aircon, strong WiFi, and Netflix and a speaker. The entire hotel is just really, really cool and a few minutes walk to the beach and 10 minutes to the national park. The on-site restaurant, Casa Planta, was delicious and everything was fresh and tasty. Special mention to Leo on the desk and the waitresses at the restaurant who were all so lovely, friendly, and welcoming all the time too. For a pura vida stay in MA, this is the place!
