Trying to correct the date of your reservation
The hotel room and breakfast was very good. The breakfast was the best we had in many years The only problem we had was with our hotels.com reservation. We accidentally selected January 30 and 31st. We had just made the reservation on hotels.com just hours before we arrived at the hotel. The reservation was suppose to be December 30th & 31st. So we tried to change the date with the automated Hotels.com customer service, but the end result was to penalize us for twice the cost/money for one night stay. So one night stay at the Hampton was over $200. I am going to try to speak to a hotels.com representative after our return home. If nothing can be resolved in the costs, then I am not going to use Hotels.com again. If making a reservation online was a simple task, then I would not gripe about this, but it is not. The process in completing an online reservation is too complicated and difficult without over looking something or resolving an obvious mistake like the mistake we made in making a reservation after a long nerve racking, all day long drive across Louisiana and Texas. You see to make a reservation, the reservation starts with the date of January dates, even though it is still December. So what we did was just change the date to the correct dates, but it was not for the month of December, it was for the month that popped up on the app to start a new reservation, which was the month of January.
