Poor Neighborhood
Hotel itself was great, small rooms of course. Staff were all great. Never had to wait in line to talk to them. It was nice being right next to a Subway station with good connectivity however the neighboorhood was poor. We had heard this area was more trendy and hipster, the reality is it's more drug addicts, constant sirens, piles of broken glass and so on. We wish we had stayed in Friedrichshain which was much nicer and more interesting plus has the Brown Subway line which is the main line for tourist sites and major train stations.

Whislt the hotel name suggests a central location it really is on the fringe of Mitte. This was ideal for me as I wated to explore Kreuzberg, but go more central if you really want to be Mitte based. Hotel was fine. Small but clean room. For a mid priced hotel the facilities are very basic. No kettle in room, in fact not even a cup or glass, just a small paper cup. Breakfast was ok. Staff friendly and efficient. Overall was satisfactory, ,but I left feelig there was probably better value to be had elsewhere, but at least you know what you are getting with Motel One.

This was an excellent hotel, specially for the price. Normal size hotel rooms, actually more spacious than others. modern furniture. Very welcoming lobby appearance and staff. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Comfortable bed. A mini super market very close by, but nothing really else is close. I used the train a ton and the U-Bahn is just steps away, along with the bus stop, so that was a huge perk for me. Also a 10 minute walk from Kruezberg night life. Would definitely stay here again!

Jewel of Moritzplatz.
Very well presented reception, bar and breakfast room on the lower floor. Ramp access for wheelchair and luggage. Luggage storage room - pre check in and post check out. Daily servicing of room was to a very high standard. In general the hotel is very clean and has an 'as new' look to it. Our room was one of the smaller ones but with some thought we used it with comfort. We used 'packing cubes' for clothing, which is helpful as there are some shelves but no drawer units. The room rate is good value for money. I thought bar prices were high, but have no experience of prices in other Berlin hotels. All staff we encountered were super helpful and friendly.

Great place!
Chose this on the spur of the moment after staying at a Motel One in Prague the day before. Great place and completely worth the price. Check in was a breeze. Room was ready. Service was great. Lobby bar and whole decor of the place is really nice. It is about a 20 minute walk to Checkpoint Charlie and the Christmas Market which is why I was there. Only “con” is the thermostat in the room. Had heat but sometimes got very hot. Couldn’t seem to adjust it properly. Other than that I would stay here again and recommend it if you are staying in Berlin or Prague.
