Unfortunately my stay was not the comfort I’d hoped it would be. My (first room) appeared to not have been cleaned for a very long time. The dust layer was allergy alarming. The urine stains around the seat of the toilet were quite unsettling and the hair on the sheets not comforting at all. The front desk gentleman offered to have his colleague clean it, I opted for a second room however. To no avail, this room was equally as unclean… I decided to have diner in the hotel restaurant while waiting to have that room cleaned. I was one of the first guests to be seated for dinner, however one of the lasts to be served. I sat and watched the dining area fill over the period of an hour and a half, still waiting on my veggie burger and chips… when it finally arrived, it was cold and inedible. I had to speak w the front desk manager regarding my reluctance to pay for it, coupled with the room unacceptable state. He was kind, didn’t want to comp the meal at first, but after I offered an overview of my experience thus far, he removed the cost of the burger, only charging for water and chips… to their credit, the staff was friendly and polite, Kristian F in the restaurant went above and beyond to assist w a phone charger issue I was also having… unfortunately Bastion was not a win for me and I will pursue a refund for the stay, after having the room “cleaned” I returned to still find an unreasonable layer of dust on the head board and biohazard stains in the bathroom… 😓
