Large deposits announced after too late.
We wanted a hotel with a pool. We did not realize the pool was outdoors and was closed. Also when we got there we do not realize there was a $250 deposit due on check in. Yes we re owned a confirmation e-mail but I did not look at that close enough. The room was prepaid and no refund. We were there to bury my mother-in-law and funds were tight. This added expense made it a very tough situation for getting home later. Yes we got the deposit back but that did not help I. The moment when we could have used it. There should be a clear notification of these type of charges up front. Not in an email after you’ve paid a non refundable room fee. Had I seen that I never would have booked the room. Same with the pool.

Friendly staff were attentive and prompt with providing us with extra pillows and bath towels as we requested. The building is looking tired, worn and outdated. A new coat of paint and new carpeting would help to spruce it up!
