from Bowral, no balcony, 5 sets of stairs
Did not stay in the room i assumed i booked. Was informed by smug manager Rooms 11 and up on third floor. 5 sets of stairs! Partner had lunch on arrival...ended up with diarrhea, going outside to get fresh air in the middle of night.?.

Good location
Pleasant stay at the Grand . Not much sleep
On our last night due to the noise of an event downstairs , yes we realise it’s a pub but a bit of prior notice would have been welcomed . Good location for sea pool and beach

Loved this Hotel!!!!!
I loved this hotel, it was so fun to stay at! The staff were very fun to talk to and gave great ideas of things to do. The food at the hotel was OMG so good. I would recommend this place for anyone who wants to be transport back in history. The balcony was so amazing to sit and drink tea.

A country pub feel in a city location, The Grand Hotel has comfortable accommodation with some old world charms mixed with modern touches. A great base to enjoy the appealing city of Newcastle.

Great location and nice room for a weekend stay. Was a bit worried about the noise level before arriving, but was super quiet on the top floor - no issues.

We loved the building, the location, the restaurant/bar, and the staff. We stayed in room 17 and it needs wall and window repairs done, and hanging rails in the bathroom. When it was windy (and it was very windy over several days and nights), there was a very loud vibrating sound coming from outside that was annoying and kept us awake.

Beautiful building. Great bars and food. Bed very comfortable. Live music. Don’t expect to get to sleep early on a Friday or Saturday night. Great if you like to party. Sunday night, great Jazz downstairs and nice and quiet after 9pm.

This property needs to be a bit more professional For instance the light did not work in bathroom and it was generally shabby. Had a nice veranda though.
