Poor customer service.
This is not a criticism of the physical hotel but rather the customer service. We had 5 rooms booked for family reunion at a nearby establishment. Drove over 3 hours and others travelled from London. So storm Darragh hit, power was lost in the area. It happens. The hotel staff referred back to their management whose response was “get them all out by 4pm”. We asked them to check locally for alternatives but nothing. They cited the usual get of jail card of health and safety but seriously, sleeping in the dark overnight, we were happy to do this. It turned out that the place we were having the reunion made a few calls and sorting it all out and they had no power as well. So sorry, customer service is a zero from us. The refunds also took 3 days when they said it would be next day. Generally not what was expected.
