Stargazer dream pub/hotel
Good size carpark Check in at reception and all information is given. Rooms up a flight of stairs The room was an ok size as was the shower room. Bed is super comfortable Wifi is okish The shower was hot and powerful. Evening meal was excellent lots of choices and good value. Also have a planetarium! But it was £49 for a show and talk, shame no guest rates!! Would probably stay again when in the area. Location close to Hadrian's Wall and the once stood Sycamore Tree Gap!! Also has a brewery next to it with some really nice beers and ales on offer!

A great staging post when visiting Northumberland
We’ve only visited once for a drink and a meal while in the area, and were also aware of the brewery shop. We’ve long wanted to stay overnight to fully enjoy all on offer, although we’re not walkers as most guests seem to be. We were visiting Vindolanda and the Roman Army Museum though, which are both very close by. Rooms are cosy and have everything you need. The food and drink on offer is excellent, and room rates including breakfast are great value considering the location and the demand. Staying overnight guarantees a table as otherwise, the whole place was booked out on the night we were there. We would definitely visit again!

This was a return visit, after loving our stay in the summer and a place we’ll definitely keep coming back to. The staff are so friendly and helpful and accommodated us for vegan food; the beautiful, old building maximises the space to its full potential with modern amenities; and its own brewed beer and amazing on site star gazing facilities under the company ‘Go Stargazing’ built up by the wonderful Wil, is the icing on the cake! Lots of walking opportunities to historic Roman sites or buses/trains to quaint places like Hexham and Durham- if you fancy giving the car a rest, whilst you are there! There’s plenty of homage paid in art form to the sadly departed tree from Sycamore Gap, as her beauty lives on in photographs, art and poetry. We returned home refreshed and rejuvenated once more from our weekend at Twice Brewed.

Shares a car park with the Sill Center- just up the hill is the site of the Sycamore Gap on Hadrian's wall. The pub/ brewery has good ales and good food. Cooked English breakfast was great and everyone was very friendly. Nearby Hexham is a worthwhile visit too. Just wish the sky had been clear to witness the famous night sky.

8/10 Very good

Very nice stay except the water pipes in the next room were very noisy. TV in room was small and mounted very high up the wall, either larger or lower would have been better. Nice to have EV charging outside but the scheme they're on needs £10 topups instead of just charging for the power used which isn't too great for a one off use.
