Beautiful but Unfortunate
The property is absolutely stunning and the staff is fantastic. My wife picked it based on an Instagram recommendation and we were looking for a relaxing night away from our children. Unfortunately our room was across the street from the night club and the sound proofing did little to take care of the bass permeating the walls until 2am. We were provided ear plugs and we used a sound machine but it just wasn't enough. We also had the displeasure of being serenaded by an extremely loud, yet brief, romantic encounter in the room next to us... twice. I'm scoring this as poor as our stay was not relaxing. I realize the location of the night club is not the hotels fault, but for the high price of the suite I def. did not feel like I received my moneys worth and it has to be known that the bass permeates the walls. I do not recommend rooms on that side of the hotel for light sleepers and I feel as this is something that should be known by the hotel and should disclose and/or offer an alternative at checkin. I realize I probably could have asked for a room change, but having to pack up in the middle of the night to relocate is not ideal either.

Stayed overnight in Charlotte for a concert date night and the Ivey's is the perfect location near both the Spectrum Arena and Bank of America Stadium as well as plenty of restaurants/bars and nightlife. Darion at the front desk gave us incredible hospitality upon arrival!

We loved the decor and general vibe. Super clean boutique style hotel. Staff was quite friendly, responsive and helpful. They will give you personal service that you simply don’t find in larger hotels. Also, this place smells great! The hotel setup is a bit funny because it is split with condos. The single elevator didn’t work well, but it was a super easy to walk to our room. Parking requires valet through a third party service and they didn’t always have it together. No major issue, however. There are several restaurants, bars and attractions in the immediate vicinity. We did not get a chance to try out Sofia’s but it looked very nice. One tiny nitpick: DirecTV is no good.
