The owner was wonderful; I appreciated his help with everything. He has a positive attitude.
One wing is in the process of being renovated so is not available to rent. My bed had apparently been used by someone/s heavier who slept in one spot, as I sunk down into it. There were no lampshades on the bed lamps. My toilet flush handle was broken in half so I had to be careful when flushing.
The carpet definitely needed to be deep steamed, so bring your slippers.
In regards to safety: The hotel on the east side has a different type of layout - a building where the rooms have a glass enclosed hallway leading to them. This did allow me to look in before entering as the door from the parking lot to the glass hallway had no lock.
Apparently COVID hit private hotels pretty hard and everyone is doing the best they can, so I am glad I could help a privately owned property.
