Check-in went smoothly. Room was clean, drapes and lights all worked, clock set to correct time, all amenities were on hand and/or stocked although I noticed they don't offer hand lotion anymore (maybe I'm getting my hotels confused, but I thought they used to offer it). The mattresses need to be turned- it had a noticeable divot and was more comfortable in the middle/other side of the mattress. I informed them of an odd (skunk-like) odor around the elevator; the odor came and went during the entirety of the weekend...weird, huh? Maybe someone was pranking them?? There were loud parties going on that week end- ending btw 0100-0200 (My neighbors were one of them), however, I don't fault the hotel (especially since I never called to complain). I just wish people would stop being so selfish and show more consideration for others. The only true disappointment I had with this property was their standard for safety: Entry doors which should've been locked (opened by guest card key) were easily opened without keys and walkways were not properly de-iced/salted. Oh, I also was a bit annoyed how they could give away (as in FREE) a "grab-n-go" breakfast to the lady in front of me: bacon/egg biscuit, yogurt, banana, muffin, bottle of juice, but when I wanted a muffin and a cup of coffee it was going to cost $2...I don't get the logic. I haven't decided if I'll stay here again; I do know I'll do my best not to come up on the weekend.

my boyfriend called the hotel days before our reservation to surprise me for valentines day. When we showed up, the front desk lady told ME about the fact that the flowers were in the room but the chocolates were not here yet, so surprise ruined. To make it better, when I got into the room, no one had the audacity to open& to take the flowers out of the box, after my boyfriend specifically asked them to do so.... is it hard to open a 20 inch box to make a customer happy? flowers arrived friday night and were almost dead when i opened them. the room was comfortable and clean, so i wasn’t going to say anything. i am not one to complain... i honestly think this is my first review I’ve actually taken the time to do because i felt it was necessary. but then, i woke up this morning... 4 days after my reservation noticing $20 was taken out by the hotel. i thought maybe we did something to the room and thought it was a charge for an incidental so i called to make sure we didnt mess up. when i called, she explained to me it was from the authorization for incidentals the first night. i just stated it would be nice to be told $ would be taken out of my account but that it was only $20 so i’m not worried. i was just checking for myself:) but got an attitude instead. repeated herself abt how all hotels take money out & talked to me as if i was stupid. probably the idiot who spoke to my boyfriend. will literally stay in any hotel in annapolis besides this one!

The service and staff at the hotel were fantastic however the place is very dated. The beds are in no way comfortable for a decent nights sleep. My bed slanted to one side and felt like the mattress was at its end of life. Another person in my party also complained about the mattress in their room. The hotel is also very noisy and you can hear guests in the halls.
