I had to switch rooms because it was so dirty, dusty, and blotted stains on the bed sheets. The vents were dusty and coated. I asked for a new room and I was given one. The second room, the a/c wasn’t working well and after I showered when I took the towel off the bar the whole metal/plastic bar fell off the wall and struck my foot. Caused me to bleed and bruise. Never got a follow up from the GM like promised. I was given the night for free but that isn’t enough - the place should be CLEAN, it’s a hotel and with that comes trust that I will be comfortable.
When I called to tell the front desk about the bleeding foot incident, they sent up a maintenance guy who told me they are in between cleaning staff! He also admitted my a/c was not functional. Still want someone to reach out to me. I shouldn’t be promised something and it not happen. This is not like Hilton at all. On my way back from Chicago, I was getting tired and needed another hotel 3 days later and reluctantly stayed about another DoubleTree in Youngstown, OH. WONDERFUL experience. So I blame the management staff in Westlake OH. You need to take care of your product
