8/10 Very good

A mixed experience at the villas.
The villas sit within the boutique hotel grounds which is partnered with the main hotel. You can use all of the facilities for both with a small gym at the boutique and pools at both.
The resort was pretty quiet so no issues sitting at the pool with sunbeds, the weather was poor so we tried to find other things to do but were limited. A games room might have been nice.
We had a three bed villa and it was very spacious and had pretty much everything for self catering. We had to request new chopping boards because they smelt really bad but this took a long time to resolve and we had to ask 4 times. This was a common issue whenever anything was needed.
The outside of the villas definitely needed tidying and making nice, it was just dust and rocks.
The hotel fell down in terms of its service and training of staff. We ordered drinks at the pool bar and got overcharged for them, the staff there said they couldn’t resolve it so we had to get the manager down. They promised to resolve and send an apology gift to us that never arrived.
On another occasion we ordered drinks at the bar and the poor young man behind the bar was on his second day and had been left on his own. My husband had to show him how to pour a pint behind the bar himself! It’s unfair to expect brand new staff to manager a bar on their own.
The hotels are a bit further out of the town and you’ll need a car or to get taxis.
