Just what we needed
A nice little place with a decent breakfast. The shower, like all we found in Iceland, was small. The breakfast is up a, flight of steps (not a problem for us, just an FYI) this place worked well as a base for exploration.

This guest house was one of the most affordable and one of the nicest places we stayed in Iceland. It was extremely clean and well-maintained, with additional touches and detail that showed the owners really cared. The staff were organized, informative and friendly. It offered a lovely complimentary breakfast with coffee, tea, juice, bread, meats and cheeses, cereal, porridge, eggs etc. It also offered lunch and dinner for a fee and was also conveniently close to other restaurants (one right across the street) as well as some local sights. We went whale watching with Láki Tours and the port was only a short 2 min walk away, in view of the guest house. It is the absolute perfect place to stay in Hólmavík I could not recommend it more!

Nice quaint location. Breakfast was ok. Fyi: when checking in, park in the back of the building. We tried checking in just walking up but no one was around and no one answered our calls. When we drove up and parked, host came out.

The place was very nice. Our only issue was with getting in the building. You actually have to call the number on the door to get in. The owner lives next door and comes over to let you in. Other than that it was great.

Nice place to stay
We are visiting the West Fjords and needed a place to stay and the hotel was recommended by family. Fulfilled our needs.

Very basic accomodation with limited small breakfast and very few food options in town. Was sent a menu when booked but cafe not open for another two weeks.

This was a great place to stay for the whale watching tour. The boat was just a cross the parking lot. Guest house house is fairly new, nothing fancy but very clean and quiet.

Overall the property was very clean and the staff was nice. Bathroom was extremely small. The room was pretty basic. I would suggest putting a hot pot in the room.

This was typical of a guesthouse in Iceland. The room was very basic. What I didn't like was that there were insufficient parking spots next to the building, but mostly that the bathroom was minuscule. The sink was so small, that any attempt to wash one's face resulted in water all over the floor. The toilet was so close to the tiny sink, that you had to sit on it at an angle. I can't imagine a large person using that bathroom.

Conveniently located, surprisingly quiet as there is a restaurant on the rooftop. I did not think this accommodation was worth the value. No hotpot nor mini fridge which was provided at other locations at similar price range. Breakfast was included, but it was not very good. The layout of the limited selection of food in the corner area of the restaurant made it hard for guest to get to. The coffee was really bad.

Could do a lot better
This is a good value accommodation, basic but with a good bed and shower which is what matters most to us. However we left with a negative vibe towards it. They advertise as having a bistro which would provide us with an evening meal or so we thought. What was on offer was either a meat soup or a fish stew, both small portions and microwaveable - or some cake. The price of 3500 IsK for either was just ridiculous. I had a good quality burger and fries in a good restaurant the day after for less than that. I am not aware of anywhere else to stay in town so pay a visit to the supermaket for your food.

We were greeted upon arrival by friendly staff member on an extremely windy & cold day. The room was simple but quite adequate for our 1 night stay & was nice to look outside & see rainbows ! Bathroom was compact but modern & was perfectly fine. The town is tiny so nothing is far to walk Breakfast very simple but started our day well. Overall a decent stay

Very nice friendly reception. Great views. Great location, near good restaurants, next to Witchcraft and Sorcery Museum. Convenient parking. Superlative in a few ways- The most expensive place I stayed in Iceland over our 3 week visit. The place with the smallest bathroom in Iceland. Also the beds had the smallest pillows I've ever experienced.
