EXPENSIVE SUFFERING

Terrible stay. Rooms are not sound proof. Hotel is near JFK airport. We could hear all the conversation people having in the hallway, tv sound from next door room, and water pressure sound coming from the shower from next door. At check-in, the line was hour long. Already paid more than 250 dollars for the hotel but had to pay fifty more for the parking. The only good thing was the double tree choclate cookies.

Great stay at Newly Renovated Doubletree!

Great stay at Doubletree prior to traveling out of JFK! Easy valet parking (fee), friendly and quick check in, room very clean and beds comfortable. Restaurant and bar perfect for grabbing bite to eat. Shuttle was reliable and arrives every half hour. Hotel has been renovated so all brand new. Will stay here again!

Good and reliable hotel very near to JFK with free shuttle from "Federal Circle" every 30 minutes (pick-up @ AVIS rent-a-car) (why did I have to find out all this myself and the hotel didn't answer my emails sent before?). Clean, functional and quite new. Good restaurant, but incredibly high priced. The buffet dinner and one beer cost US$60.- including tax+tip+alltheseotherthings. A pot of Asian noodelsoup and two beers plus chips the other night from the "market" in the lobby US$ 35.- This is far from reliable and should be thought over by the management. On the other hand: this hotel is to recommend and I will visit it again in the future (if they let me in after this not so perfectly perfect assessment....).

I’d stay here again!

The shuttle doesn’t come directly to the terminal so we had to wait in the cold for about 30 minutes while the hotel clerk repeatedly contacted the shuttle driver. Check in was friendly and expedient and the room was clean. Although the room heater wasn’t working, it was repaired within 10 minutes of my report.

Room was clean and free shuttle was positive however it is the first time I witnessed that a hotel not to offer a concierge service. My flight was in late afternoon and they could not store my luggage after check out. Also no Hilton cookie was on offer during check in.

The hotel was good and in normal times it woulg be a great staying. But since we had an issue where a flight was canceled, we were waiting over hour and a half to do the check in. I understand is not an hotel problem but in those cases the hotel should has a lane for normal check in and other for the canceled flights and where there is no regular check in then both for the canceled flight.

Good place overall

Overall, this is a good place to stay. It’s where me and my family stay when we fly out of JFK early. It’s nice because it has a restaurant but the restaurant is always understaffed The hotel itself is very clean nice and modern. We had to wait about 10 minutes in the cold for the valet as we were parking our car there for the week that was not ideal and there is a lot of road noise in the room from a nearby highway.
