What’s with the deposit?
It’s a very nice place, but I was a little caught off guard when checking in and they asked for a $100 cash deposit. I’ve travelled all over the world and never been asked to do that before. When I told her that I don’t carry that much cash, she promptly pointed me to an atm. The deposit was refunded to me at checkout so every thing was fine. It just seemed odd to me to do that when you already have my credit card on file. But it was a nice stay overall.

Check-in experience was quick, but the clerk wasn’t very outgoing or friendly. The room was okay, but there was a musty in the room. We were right next to a stairway door, so we heard the “thunk” of the door closing all night long. The king bed was comfortable, but it seemed to be on some kind of metal frame, which squeaked and creaked with normal movement. The AC worked well, but had to be cranked way down to 67 to get it to stay on for more than a minute or two. Very limited TV channels, mostly due to DIRECTtv disputes. The property appears a bit dated, but it was clean. I felt safe during my stay and things were fairly quiet after 9 PM. Plenty of parking and parking lot is well lit. Modest breakfast, but it was well stocked and the coffee was hot. It’s a decent place for an overnight stay, but I wouldn’t have stayed there for more than a night.

The "standard" layout of the room was nice with a king bed and sink separate from the bath tub and toilet. Flat screen TV worked fine. The rug in the room looked clean and had a nice look. However, the furniture was really beat up and the desk chair back was broken. The bathroom door was apparently damaged with the bottom being soaked in water and the repair was functional but looked horrible.
