    Canada’s best-kept secret . . .

It looked as though it was still under renovations, but given the pandemic and all, it was just fine. I’d stay there again, and just might some time next year. The area is probably Canada’s best-kept secret for bicycling around over flat roads on the south side of the St. Lawrence, just east of Quebec City. There are designated lanes along some of the roads. Be sure to take the smaller roads over to the St. Lawrence to get the full flavour of the smaller villages and beautiful homes along the shore. I didn’t try the motel’s brasserie (private brewery), but it certainly looked good with a variety on the menu. Yes, I can recommend it. And be sure to take your bicycle.

Difficult to find on gps. No receptionist at late hours. And no tv in room.

Nice room, little bit of hallway noise

The room was lovely, clean and spacious. I was pleasantly surprised by the balcony overlooking the river flats/farmland. Overall I was there on a quiet night (no evening party at the attached microbrewery) however every noise in the hallway travels into the rooms. There are signs asking you to keep the noise down in the halls, but if you are someone who is easily awakened by noise in the night, or traveling with young children who are light sleepers, this may not be the hotel for you. (Side note, earplugs were provided by the hotel in an amenity basket by the in room coffee maker).

    Good for return visit

The small basement room was very clean and neat . I really enjoyed the brewery/ pub and the music . I arrived just after the food service stopped at 8:00 . Wish the food was served until 9:00 for long distance travellers like myself . Service was great at pub and good at hotel . I will definitely be back !

Hotel owner was rude and did not seemed to care much about customers staying at the hotel. Actually, it looks and feels much more like a cheap motel near a highway than a hotel. No AC and no TV. Everything in the room looks dated. Got a big disgusting yellow stain on the bed sheet, makes you wonder about the cleanliness of the beds. A motel to forget and to avoid at all cost.

    Stay in Lapocatiere

The hotel was very disappointing. On Hotels.com it reffered to a restaurant and a microbrewery. The menu was extremely limited. Upon check in, I was told that I had a room in the basement with no air conditioning nore television. My room was situated very close to the stairs and the staff/laundry room therefore very noisy. Also, I over eared the staff cursing and even arguing. For 140$ CAD it was certainly a sub par hotel. Privacy was also an issue as the "bar patio" over looked straight into my room so, I had to keep the curtain closed at all times.
