The Oasis & Gem of Calcutta
If you’re coming to Calcutta for pleasure to have long days of sight-seeing, eating, and walking for hours through this amazing dense city, the Taj will the perfect oasis to come back to I had a fantastic stay for 4 days and besides the beautiful rooms, restaurants, and lovely..endless breakfasts, it’s the staff and their care to ensure you have a wonderful stay as well as to help you get whatever you need and wherever you go. We had an excellent 2 day stay. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. We had the breakfast buffet which was very good although being Indian the masala chai did not hit the mark for me, otherwise everything else was excellent. They really try to ensure you have a good stay.

The food quality was not at all up to the luxury hotel stamdard.Street and small outside restaurants serve better food than this.Food menus is very small and unappealing.The food didn't taste up to the par.It is very oily and not appetizing at all. The "Chai and Jhalmori " served was stale and not at all the luxury hotel standard. Overall very bad food being served is not edible at all during any time of the day.
