Disappointing experience.
We booked a non-refundable room. We have stayed here before and have stayed in all districts of Belize for work, usually in the summer months. While there is usually a snag or long delay with check-in at this hotel in particular, I was told this time that the rooms were booked (even though I was booked with a non-refundable reservation). We were sent to another hotel and they transferred the reservation. The place they sent us was extremely disappointing. Across Belize, hotels and guest houses at 1/2 the cost are outperforming this hotel by leaps and bounds.

The hotel was totally fine - Belize City in general is "not so great" compared to American standards, but this hotel is completely reasonable for a short stay. Clean. Great AC. Enclosed pretty pool area in the middle with live music. Nice pizza place across the street. The staff was so friendly and did a very sweet Fathers Day brunch. The area around the hotel is not so great and it's away from all the cruise ship port stuff. I would not necessarily stay here to "vacation" but it was a great stopping point on the way to somewhere else if you need to be near airport.

Limited english speaking employees. On their sight they said they provide clean drinking water. But they have no way to refill water bottle without having to ask someone. When you asked them they acted annoyed to be doing it. They had plenty of empty rooms but put me right next to the gym. On sunday there where over 30 kids and 20 adults in and around pool. I spoke to some of them and found out they let the public come in and use the pool. I could not enjoy even 15 minutes. I went to desk and they would not even respond, implying we do not care what you say. Room is 200 a night and they let the pulblic in to use pool. REALLY??????? I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN. PERIOD.
