I liked the overall decor of the hotel, rustic. I think the room could have been a bit cleaner and the sheets and blankets need to be updated and new. We did enjoy our stay.

Love love love!
We were there for a wedding, it was really nice to be able to go up to our room to recharge and go back down again. We liked it so well, we want to take a weekend vacation there.

Nice Place for a Getaway
The people who run The Lodge at Crooked Lake are wonderful. It is a family owned business and they are very friendly. It is a rustic kind of place, not a luxury hotel but a rustic lodge with themed decor. They serve breakfast but I wasn’t able to partake in it so I cannot report on how good or bad it was.

Nice but getting sleepy and outdated over time
I have stayed here over the years. It feels like its getting a little sleepy. Mild upgrades like new toilets (they are super low and old) and walk in showers would make a huge difference and new bedding (actual bed was comfy) would help keep it up a bit. The pool needs to be resurfaced as well. Friendly staff

6/10 Good

It feels a little dated. I am not sure if we just got unlucky because we booked pretty late, but it was rather expensive for what it offered. Pool floor looked patchy (dirty?) Breakfast was strange... prepacked food that needed to be warmed up in a microwave. One microwave and people standing around waiting their turn

4/10 Fair

Lovely place being run into the ground.
Worst shower experience ever. Water was so restricted that it was difficult to get your hair wet or rinse the soap out afterwards. Also, the fitted sheet was 3" narrower than the bed and so came off as soon as you slept on it. No half-n-half and no tea in the breakfast area. Cheap selfishness at its best. It's a shame because it is a lovely place. Seems like the place was lovingly built by someone who wanted to provide the best hunting/fishing lodge experience they could, but was then sold to a skinflint corporate management company that is trying to milk every penny out of it. Very sad.

Very nice Northwoods feel to the place. The only 2 things we didn't care for was the Continental breakfast and the beds.
