Not good at all this place no longer exists it’s now a care home came for a family holiday to be left out on the street awaiting another hotel to book in and having to pay for another holiday and paid out twice despite my age and my health this is totally unacceptable and should not even be advertised on here to take your Money and not get the goods

A real gem
I would highly recommend the Merivon Guest House to anyone looking for a first class stay. The owner Jane is a lovely lady who is always on hand to answer any questions you might have and to give you ideas of days out or things to do locally and in the surrounding areas. The property is immaculate and our room was spotless. Breakfast was excellent with fresh fruit, homemade preserves, pastries and a full English to name a few of the lovely yummies on offer. There was a bowl of fruit in reception that was there for the guests along with a vast selection of teas in the room. I would definitely stay here again if I am over the east coast of Norfolk.

Superb
Had an amazing stay. The Merivon is the best guest house I've stayed in. The rooms are out of this world. The added extras are a wonderful touch dressing gowns and slippers great selection of teas and coffees. Even a Tassimo in the hall to use. The breakfast is cooked fresh and is fantastic. Jane and her husband are so friendly. I could not fault a thing about the stay

Lovely guest house
The room was spacious and the bed was comfy. Well stocked with a variety of tea bags, toiletries, even bath robes. Bathroom was spotless. Breakfast was amazing with a fry up, fruits, cereals, yoghurt and pastries, juices, tea/coffee. Our host Jane was lovely and very helpful. Wifi reception in the room (we were on the top floor) was not the best but that's not what we came for. We enjoyed our stay very much. Highly recommended!

Jederzeit wieder!

A lovely stay in Yarmouth!
We chose the Merivon for a last minute weekend break and we are certainly pleased we did.
From the moment we arrived Jane made us feel welcome and at ease, and she showed us to our room at the top of the house. It was very clean and tidy with a selection of hot drinks and biscuits and the bed was surprisingly comfy too!
We said that we were looking to see some of the broads and Jane supplied us with ample leaflets and her own local knowledge which led to us having a wonderful time.
It would not be fair of me to write this review without mentioning the breakfast! I have worked on building sites for many years and eaten far too many cooked breakfasts and this was certainly up there with the very best Ive had... Jane told us that the ingredients are all locally sourced and chosen by her and that the only fried items are the egg and the fried bread. I'd go back again just for the breakfast!
We had a lovely time and wholeheartedly recommend a stay at the Merivon if youre planning a trip to Great Yarmouth. Thanks Jane!

Fantastic guest house
We stayed two nights at the Merivon and used it as a base to discover Great Yarmouth and surroundings. The location is very central for Great Yarmouth and local attractions as you are a two minute walk away from the waterfront. Jane and her husband were fantastic hosts and run a well maintained, adults only B&B. Rooms were clean and comfortable and a delicious breakfast served every morning.

Enjoyable stay
We stayed for 2 nights over Easter. Hotel ideally placed, being a 5 minute walk to the sea front and around 8 minute walk to the town centre, but on a very quiet road. Being an adult only hotel, this suited us very well. The room was exceptionally clean and had everything you could want. Beautiful towels and lovely bedding. The landlady is very friendly and helpful and breakfast is cooked to order and arrives piping hot. A good choice of food including fresh fruit, cereals and yogurts, as well as the full English. Free parking permits are provided upon arrival and we encountered no problem in finding a parking space during our stay. We would recommend this B&B to friends and family. The Easter egg given to all guests on Easter Sunday was a lovely touch!
