The staff was friendly and the hotel is clean. However, this is certainly not a 4 star hotel. The room furnishing is worn, the bed is very uncomfortable, the a/c system is archaic and the bathroom is sub-standard.

Well maintained room and place. Breakfast ok but somewhat limited. Convenient location at walking distance to the city center. Parking free in garage underneath the hotel as long as space available.

Clean and central
We stayed as we went to a wedding which was nearby. Clean hotel with good breakfast buffet. A bit dated but best place to stay in Castelo Branco.

Not the best but ok
Very welcoming receptionist. The hotel was smallish and clean but the view from the room was the back of apartment blocks (not nice) the town itself was nice and only a 5 min walk

Expedia was only problem
When I purchased the room on Expedia, it stated that it came with breakfast. When I got to the hotel they told me it was not included, and I know for a fact I chose it that way. After contacting Expedia they told me there was nothing they could do :-) the hotel staff gave us free breakfast and said it’s not the first time at that Expedia has done this to their guests, something fails in the transfer of information, i.e. breakfast. Great Hotel, definitely look forward to staying there again!

Hotel for convenience only
After travelling for three weeks, this Hotel was easily the most disappointing place that we stayed.
The receptionist at the Hotel was certainly not welcoming and if we had not already paid to stay, we would have considered going elsewhere. We had a problem with check-in (not the fault of the Hotel or ourselves but with the booking Agent) but the receptionist was condescending and very unhelpful. Definitely in the wrong job of customer service!
Our attempt at obtaining a drink from the Hotel bar that night was a joke - there was no-one serving at the bar so we asked the Hotel receptionist (different to the one above) to find someone. Ten minutes later we had to give up and went back to our room, without having been served or even acknowledged!
Breakfast was also a huge disappointment - the lady in the breakfast room could barely raise a smile. The choice and variety of food was also disappointing.
We have stayed 23 consecutive nights in Hotels on this holiday - this was our last night and by far the worst experience - mainly down to the negativity of the staff and their lack of focus on customer service.
I would definitely not recommend a stay in this Hotel.
