I'll be back before it gets too crowded!
Very short notice return from sea and needed to be in Salisbury . . . Found this. Remarkable. Friendly and willing to receive me past usual closing. Still a little raw from refurbishment but warm, comfortable and very clean. The staff are young and enthusiastic and the largely Indian dining and event provision is ambitious.

Over i can't complain, room was spacious and clean, we didnt realise it was an indian restaurant restaurant but the food was good, staff were friendly but we struggle to get bath towels, garden area was good but grass needed cutting.

Good night stop
Lovely staff and a great Indian restaurant downstairs. Nice rooms, but not particularly well maintained or cleaned. 24 hour access is through a door at the bottom of the main stairwell that exits into the rear car park. One thing to note - breakfast is not offered here, but there is a Budgeons just down the road that opens at 7am and they have fresh pastries and a Costa machine.

Hotel didn’t offer breakfast however the manager gave us cereal and milk to start our day. They only offer Indian cuisine which we weren’t aware of. Service and staff were very good.

Not recommended
Spent 2 nights here. Both mornings there was no electric in my room! Went downstairs and electric was all ok. Could not shower or make a drink. Looked downstairs to see if anyone was around - no-one! No-one on site, just a phone number to call!

Not happy
Dinner ok. Room not clean. No shower gel, tea/coffee facilities. Breakfast not available. Woke up to no power, unable to have a shower. No one on site to complain to. A waste of money.

We had no toilet paper and no towels and there was no one there to provide. The TV didn’t work and there was a very rough spiked topper on the bed. A shame as the basics of the room were good but not to provide the basic provisions is not an acceptable.

2/10 Poor

We arrived around 3pm which is half an hour after check in time, as i was checking in i was told that the room just needed to be double checked over as the cleaning staff weren't in so they wanted to make sure the room was tidy, clearly the person just rushed in and "cleaned" it himself however the bedsheets were dirty and not swapped so we had to ask for some more which we changed ourselves, rubbish still left on the floor and in the bin, bathroom full of limescale, honsetly if i had any other options to stay somewhere else i would of.

Nice friendly staff. Lovely countryside around., interesting building. The room was ok, clean, good beds. The road below was well used in the morning. Downside was the bathroom, please get this sorted! The shower did not work and dripped the whole time. The bath plug could only be got out with a key or something. One basin tap moved about. Also some of the bedroom furniture needed attention, drawers wouldn't shut properly, under bed draw front had come off. Small things really but don't expect it. There were tea facilities but only one cup in a twinned room. My son and I stayed two nights

Beyond awful
On arrival I was shown to a room which hadn’t been serviced by the previous occupant, used towels and toiletries in the bathroom, used glasses on the bedside table and urine on the toilet seat. I was offered a second room which had food crumbs on the side table and floor, along with earwax, hair and yellow/brown stains on the sheets. I was then shown to a third room whereby the gentleman from the hotel proceeded to pull the duvet back and sweep the sheet clean with his hand, before asking if the room was OK?! I was speechless. I had seen enough and decided not to stay. Upon asking for a refund via Hotels.com it has been repeatedly refused by the hotel. Terrible hotel with an equally terrible attitude towards its customers.
