Couldn't wish for anything better
An absolutely amazing property, the hosts Jane and Julian are delightful. Excellent hosts as they are very knowledgeable, fun and friendly and you have everything there you could wish for, from luxury products in the room to amazing breakfasts and an honesty bar. What more is there to say! Would definitely recommend as the property looks exactly as you see it with the added touch or brilliant hosts.

Quaint and Comfortable
We loved the atmosphere of Abbotsford and it definitely felt like an escape. On the day of our visit the owners were away but we were still greeted and shown to our room. The suites are spacious and feel like home. There isn’t a TV as other reviews have mentioned but this didn’t bother us at all. The bathroom is a highlight with a luxurious spa bath - candles around the bath were a nice touch. We had an early departure and so missed the signature breakfast - be aware that this isn’t served until 8:30am. You can request a packed breakfast however apparently this needs to be requested 24hrs in advance, we requested the night before and never heard anything back. I do think that the involvement of the owners and their personal touch would make this an excellent stay. Inside the country house itself is a well-stocked book cupboard and ‘honesty bar’ as well as a gorgeous dog!

Pooling in bathroom floor makes it dangerous and
Water from the shower pooled on central bathroom floor and makes it dangerous and messy. It is an accident waiting to happen. Otherwise excellent breakfast and most hospitable staff and comfortable bed. Price is expensive for what you get.

Great spot for visiting vineyards and relaxing
Julian and Jane are lovely hosts and we enjoyed chatting to them both. Felt very welcome and used the lounge in the main house for reading and relaxing where Julian provided a tray/plates/cutlery for our food and wine tastings. The property is set on a hill so wonderful views over the valley.

Great Breaky with a View!!
Very comfortable and stylish B&B - two independent blocks of four suites - comfortable lounge/library in main house - not TV (good or bad!!) - fantastic breakfast cooked to order on long share table - perched on hill top with commanding view of vineyards and countryside - a good base to explore the Barrosa

A special place for an important occasion
Close to everything the Barossa can offer: wineries, restaurants, etc. and yet far enough to enjoy the peace and quietness of the surroundings … friendly service with a keen eye for details ... highly recommended

Very overpriced
It would have been fine at half the price. For the money, I expect a lot more. The room was noisy because of fridge and boilers outside, pillows were uncomfortable and it would have been great to have some form of entertainment i.e. a pool or TV, even the setting was very relaxing and the breakfast delicious. The hosts seemed nice too and the place clean and well looked after.
