"Such a great experience. Firstly, check-in is open 24 hours which is a blessing as I arrived to the hotel around 1:30AM after a very long and demanding travel period, reception couldn't have been any nicer. From day one the staff made every attempt to guarantee my stay was a pleasurable experience. Breakfast is delicious and varied with traditional Egyptian vegetarian options and pastries, coffee, etc., and is served till 11AM. I was able to do the Pyramids before the heat arrived and still made it and requested an omelette. Getting to the GEM from the hotel is a breeze and the on-site taxi service is a simple request. I used this option on a few occasions. The bar and restaurant offer drinks and food into the evening and I also used this option, the mixed grille was delicious and what a view! Room nice and cold, comfy bed, hot shower and clean. Nothing to complain about. I additional enjoyed the cultural experience given the location of the hotel. Highly recommended. Sad I had to leave. "

"The view was unforgettable. Waking up to the pyramids and watching the sunset on the pyramids from the roof top was an experience I will cherish. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. We had a problem with the fan in the bathroom and they looked at it immediately and addressed the problem very quickly. The facilities were clean and everything is in good working condition. I hope all our other stays can match. "

"This is a great budget hotel for the price. Note you pay for food and drink at 1st world hotel prices, so plan accordingly. Housekeeping is extra and upon request. However, it has the best view of the Spinx and pyramids and the gate to the Giza complex is a short 5-minute walk through child hawkers selling Knick knacks and tour touters selling packages. Everyone is trying to sell you something so prepare yourself for that too. Ask the hotel manager Ahmed to make some tour arrangements for you but go to GetYourGuide first to get a sense of the prices. We had a great guide through the hotel, Islam, very knowledgeable and charismatic. He’s well travelled too so can draw lots of comparisons for you. We went to the bazaar in old Cairo and then to the Grand Museum. Timed everything well. The hotel itself is very clean but the street itself has camels going up and down all day and there is a couple local butchers nearby with live chickens. Remember you’re not in Kansas anymore! Meat doesn’t come on styrofoam trays and camels are live animals! Go to the main street to find sodas and snacks. The seller next door to the hotel has steep foreigner prices. Regarding some of the lower ratings you will find on the hotel, I think people had some unrealistic expectations for a budget travel hotel. It’s clean, safe, and the AC works fantastic. But manage your expectations for the price you pay, be realistic. And smile at the staff, they are kind people. "

"I had an amazing time and excellent service hear being so close to the pyramids was beautiful. Although very busy area it was a great stay. I would only recommend to stay around this area if you want to see the pyramids and sphinx however not any longer than a couple of days as the area is not yet properly developed. We went to Luxor after Cairo. "
