This was such a great, cozy, semi-secluded stay.

Almost platform tent camping…
I booked this for an overnight because it was close to Lava Hot Springs. I thought it was going to be an eclectic B&B. I had not realized that they are authentic miner cabins from the 1920’s with electricity added. The old wood floors have gaps and the ceilings are low. Like low enough my over 6’ husband would have never been able to stay there. They have a bathroom a short walk from the cabins which were clean. There were plenty of blankets on the bed and we didn’t need the space heater on, but we like to sleep with cold air on our faces.
Parking is not good…it was a good thing to have 4 wheel drive but not much turn around room.
If for some reason you are unsteady on your feet, this is not a place for you. Be prepared to climb up little inclines and it doesn’t have paved paths.
We went to open windows and discovered a LOT of wasps but they came and got rid of them while we went to soak in the Hot Springs and have dinner. Be aware that you are in a mountainous area and these are no where new structures. I did notice that they are still working on some things.
Breakfast doesn’t start until 8:30 and we needed to be on the road for our next destination so we didn’t get breakfast.
