This is a little gem of a place. Booked in overnight on our way further south. Wish we could have stayed longer. Difficult to pick out one aspect that made it special. Its a beautifully renovated coaching Inn. Our bedroom with en suite was lovely, the staff were delightful and the breakfast and dinner menus were excellent. Dinner obviously popular with non residents, which says a lot. On site parking and glorious scenery.

An incredible place to stay.
Lovely staff, great food breakfast and dinner, beautiful historic buildings in this tiny village and fantastic views from the beer garden of miles of green fields. Very comfortable bed, everything spot on, very clean could not fault this hotel.

The Duke of Wellington has a head start due to its lovely location. It's a very nice hotel/restaurant and we had a nice spacious bedroom with a very good bathroom. Both were well equipped and supplied. The food was very good and the staff friendly, professional and efficient. Excellent stay!

Fabulous find !
Wonderful find. Comfortable, friendly and the food was absolutely fabulous. Situated in the countryside with terrific views but extremely accessible and close to the places we were going. Staff were all happy and well motivated and this rubbed off on the whole feel of the place. Somewhere perfect to stay or eat when in the area. Definitely stay there again.

Hidden Gem
The cottage is well equipped with everything you could possibly need. It was extremely clean and comfortable. The lovely garden had a very scenic view across the valley. The added bonus was the incredible food at the pub next door.
