The desert night camp gives a fairly upmarket glamping experience - but that’s mainly due to the accommodation and, to some extent, the activities offered.
Don’t go there for the food, the entertainment or the drinks. There’s a full menu of drinks but with many of them not actually available (no beers and no tonic water for example) but they’ll push their expensive cocktails instead. To be fair all the alcohol is expensive but that’s more to do with the duty structure in Oman than the hotel’s margins. Still, drink choice and food quality was mediocre at best - and definitely not five star. But the experience is good fun, the ‘tents’ in great condition and I’d recommend it - but for one night only.
