The hotel is very clean. The staff is very helpful. There is food centre within 5mins of the hotel. Different and wide range range of viet food are served. You will not be hungry after a visit.

Ok hotel

The hotel is reasonably well located on a quiet street. It is typical of many hotels in Hanoi. It has no real vietnam character. The room was fine with a good shower. The breakfast was very average with limited choice.

Local hotel delivers big-time luxury chain service

This is my second stay at Nam Ngu. It is a little gem hidden on a side street near the rail station. It is within walking distance of Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, the Presidential Palace, UNDP, and several other attractions. The hotel staff are quite fluent in English and eager to please. The rooms, especially larger ones like the mini-suites are quite comfortable and very well kept. Three excellent restaurants share the block (French, Italian, and Vietnamese) and provide wonderful dining experiences. For the price and location, this is by far the best property to stay at while in Hanoi - don't over-pay at the Marriott or other chain properties. Give the in-room massage and spa treatments a try - I was quite pleased with them!
