Be aware that the hotel is split between the rooms that have been renovated and the ones that haven't (price still high!). Because we booked via Hotels.com (the reception made clear that this was the reason), my husband and I had the terrible experience of staying in one of the old rooms:
- Carpets weren't clean.
- Furniture is worn out
- Heating didn't work properly. No matter what we did the room felt like a sauna. One night we decided to turn it off but water started dripping from the radiator. Someone came to fix it, but the problem remained.
- Hairdryer? I found one under the think, but it was supposed to be attached to the wall, so it didn't work.
Another surprise was the Wellbeing area. The pool was only open in the evenings.
In addition, we decided to have a New Year's dinner at the hotel. As I am vegetarian, before booking, I asked the hotel if there would be a vegetarian option. They confirmed. I also spoke with the chef before dinner. Everything seemed fine.
To my "surprise" again, there was no vegetarian menu and out of the 8 dishes that were part of the menu, I could only eat two and the desert. The chef then offered me a last-minute omelette (laugh). When I mentioned to the hotel that it wasn't fair to charge me the full amount they refused. Only after a discussion, they decided to give me a discount (but no apology)
On the good side, the hotel is really close to the slopes, there is a ski room and the breakfast is good.
Just be aware of the possible scams!
