6/10 Good

Rustic and private
We stayed there a year ago and were happy, but were disappointed this year with the cleanliness of the kitchen. There was grease on the kitchen-ware and stove top. The host is so nice and our dog could go outside and explore which is really great. We aren’t sure if we will stay here again next year.

50th celebration weekend
Cute cabin. Rooms were very small. 1 room had twin bunk bed which was very close to wall for climbing up . Other room was a full size bed . Not very good for 2 grown adults. They living room dining room is open concept with kitchen table and chairs , couch tv with cable. Bathroom was decent for a cabin. You’re definitely in the woods . Very dark at night as no street lights heading to the area you stay. Close to a lot of things .

Cozy cabins in a private setting. Great breweries and restaurants nearby.

8/10 Very good

The cabin that we stayed in was pretty much just what I wanted. Not a lot of frills, but all the necessities. But it does have a nice jetted tub, that I took advantage of. I had wanted a quiet 3 days in the woods, where I didn't need to hook into the news or worry about chores, and that's what I got. The decor was rather old and dated, but that didn't matter to me. The thing I wish had been different was that on the reservation sites there are several pictures of the 11 cabins available, but really only one of each. So I had no idea which cabin I was getting, and the one we stayed in was right next to the office and other cabins around a parking area. It was okay, but there wasn't a lot of privacy. I would have rented one of the other cabins that was set in the trees, had I known. I would stay there again, but I would ask the property manager for a map before booking.

Loved the peaceful cabin experience. The cabin itself was roomy and nicely finished. Very comfortable! The location was outstanding for being close to Waterbury and Stowe and the area. We caught the trees near their peak color as well during our stay. Would stay here again if the opportunity comes up.

Loved how private the cabin was in the woods, but only a five minute drive from a major grocery store. Farmers markets everywhere, huge artisan coffee shop down the hill and 15 minutes from dining districts. We were able to see the stars clearly in the yard of the cabin, which was so fun. The cabin itself was rustic and quaint, had all the basics including a propane heat unit and fully equipped kitchen. It was very clean and tidy, which was greatly appreciated. The check in went very well, the owners were so patient and friendly. I would love to stay here again.

We had an amazing time exploring the town of Stowe on our family location. The cabins are very rustic and suit the forest environment where they are located

Enjoyed the privacy and the quiet location. I know we didn't stay there to watch TV, but an expanded cable selection of channels(if available) would be nice. The choice of channels was limited.

Older cabins but nice for age of buildings.
The cabins are old but in good condition for the age of the cabins. The woods around the cabins are dark in the trees. Not a lot of sunlight. But very wooded, quiet and secluded

2/10 Poor

By far the worst place I have ever stayed. I can’t even describe how bad cabin 3 smelled. The layout was fine and beds were as comfortable as I would expect. The issue is the horrible smell and everything, including you and your belongings will be covered in a layer of humidity. The sheets had dog hair all over them (that’s what I’m telling myself).

Excellent place to stay in the area!
Wonderful place to stay in the area. We are very familiar with the area, as we lived 20 minutes away for over 25 years. If you are looking for an upscale hotel experience, try Stoweflake Resort. If you want a more rustic stay, this is the place. The cabins are not too cramped (as others tend to be), with a full size tub and full kitchen, and space to breathe in both the bedroom and living room areas. We were there with our eighteen year old son. He slept in the bedroom, on the Queen size bed, with my husband, while I slept on the pull out couch in the living room (I wanted to watch TV longer at night). The pull out bed was surprisingly comfortable. When sitting on the bed it felt very lumpy and you could definitely feel the bars, but lying down was fine. Our dogs were very comfortable, as well. If one wanted to get knick-picky, you could say that the blowdryer had a hair stuck in it, the hot water could have been hotter, and there is no where to hang clothes. None of this takes away from the overall spotless cleanliness, comfort, and amazing hospitality of the host family (who are all very sweet and accommodating). Air conditioner worked great. There was no envelope in the room to leave a tip for the cleaner, and sadly we forgot to do this! Perhaps the family does all the cleaning themselves. Suggestion to stop the reviews about the kitchen sign to wash dishes before use: state that it was from a COVID regulation. Thanks for the wonderful experience!
