Great experience if you like the hostel environment, friendly people and lots of areas to hang out. Having my own room was nice.

Amazing staff!
I couldn’t have been better cared for. The room was clean and well updated. The staff was AMAZING! I had never stayed in a motel before and was a little nervous to begin with, but I will be staying here again.

10/10 Exceptional

Always very friendly and kind to me. Very accommodating and willing to help. They care a lot about the aesthetics of the hostel and make it a priority to create eye-catching displays, such as murals and painted cabinets. I always stay here when I visit Eugene.

Comfy and Affordable
Great place to stay for the price. Staff wasn’t all that friendly but they weren’t rude either.

Property has 2 classic homes, both well kept and inviting. Unique decor and furnishings (ship models and full-sized armor suits). We met both owners, very friendly and accommodating.

8/10 Very good

The hostel staff was very friendly and accommodating. Boho bungalow style theme meets nautical. I stayed in a private room that had a personal entrance and front patio. The buildings have character, and the location is central.

Laid back hostel
Very comphy, laid back atmosphere. Walking distance to breweries, coffe shops and restaurants. Super friendly staff. The train tracks is pretty close so at night it can be a little loud if your not used to it.

8/10 Very good

Nice people, reasonably comfortable room. I slept well. But the facility is quite dated. Works well as a low-cost hostel, but could use some TLC.

Heart of Whiteaker area
Nice and helpful staff; all good except no drier on site.

6/10 Good

It's just fine if you don't mind sharing a toilet and shower.

10/10 Exceptional

Best staff ever. They need to just do simple maintenance like replace two light bulbs in my room. Other than that tiny thing, a safe kind place to stay in Eugene! I even called super late when I had trouble with the door lock- the kind reply was appreciated.

2/10 Poor

Mediocre Would rather stay at a hotel I felt like a child when i was there cause they are so strict with their rules. I got kicked out for having a piece of pizza in the dorms. So not very reasonable in my opinion
Dagan, 7-night trip

2/10 Poor

This place is horrible was treated really bad there for no reason that was made aware to me. The lady behind the desk was polite there was an aggressive man there who was the issue.
spencer, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

Wasn’t what I expected. No light in room to see anything. No AC in room. Steep flight of narrow stairs.
David, 3-night trip

6/10 Good

They charge you a $15 late check-in fee and it has to be in cash, which was not specified before I made the reservation. I was never charged a fee for late check-ins for all the hotels/hostels I've lived in. I have to say this is very disappointing.

6/10 Good

I booked a private room for my 1-night stay. It was an internal room with its own lockable door opening into an outer room with two bunk beds and the shared bathroom. I fully expected the shared bathroom but I did not expect exiting my room could disturb other hostel guests in the outer room. Guests and staff were friendly. The train tracks sounded fairly close (mandatory train horns at crossings); this might be an issue if you are a light sleeper. The private bedroom had heat available but no air conditioning, only a ceiling fan. Oregon weather was remarkably warm for October, but the ceiling fan was sufficient.

8/10 Very good

Great Atmosphere, Great Staff, Private Room Okay
This is generally a great place. There’s a cozy, social atmosphere and the staff were super nice. It was clean and kinda funky- mismatched drapes and a cool tapestry on the wall. We rented the Captains Room instead of staying in the dorms. The only negative was the price for what it was. You don’t really get any of the traditional amenities you get from the same price elsewhere, like a little shampoo (these types of items were available to purchase). The room is also right by the front desk and the walls are thin so you hear everything. We were awakened in the morning by staff entering the office. Not their fault - there’s just no sound proofing to to the walls. There is an additional $20 room key deposit, which is fine since it is not a card key; just something to be aware of. It takes 3-5 days for it to be refunded. You are required to strip your bedding after your stay and deposit them and your towels into bins in a different room. Again, it was fine, but not at that price point. To be fair, we knew it was a hostel and should have set our expectations accordingly. I think we thought it would be a little nicer given that we paid for a private room.

2/10 Poor

The whorese experience of my life
I did not stay there. I thought I'll have room for my self only. When they showed me the room where I have to stay it was dirty, smell and two deck beds to share four people in the small room. It is a small house and to get to the front desk office I have to go through small dark lane both side have small dirty rooms. I saw it as one door was opened and bed sheet and pillow case are dirty. I talked to the manager to charge from my American Express card for the cancellation fees for one day. He couldn't charge from my card and he waived to charge. I called Oregon Taxi to pick me up. The Taxi driver didn't know where is the location although I read him the address. Finally I called the Oregon Taxi office to send me back the Taxi number 28, driver Mr. Vience who droped me only 9 minutes ago and Vience pick me up and dropped me Timbers Motel where I used to stay when I visited Eugene. However, $30 per night is not bad for those who can not effort to pay more than that. I recommend who will come in group should stay there. But I don't recommend the security of the property and life who will stay alone.
