Okay place
Neat historical building, needs a bit of TLC and furnishing replacements. Biggest issue was the noise, our room was adjacent to the bar and there was an ice machine that was constantly being used until 3:00 AM, they would slam the door on it and it made it impossible to sleep.

It's an old fashioned hotel in a historic town. I'm usually just focused on getting to Cumberland island but we spent 2 nights this time at the hotel. The beds were marvelously comfortable and the meals were excellent. The staff were great. Thanks so much!

This time friends and I stayed before and after the island trip at the hotel. So we were able to better focus on the hotel. Very nice stay. Quiet and loved the river view from our room. Also, loved the history of the hotel and how well preserved it has been kept. George welcomed us and he was a very nice gentleman. Loved the restaurants/shops in the quaint little town and even enjoyed a night of karaoke.
