8/10 Very good

Myself and my sister had a lovely stay, the service was second to none and a big shout and thank you to Stefanos our bar tender for the evening! He was so welcoming and made a great themed cocktail. Clean, comfortable and good tea/breakfast selection. If we are ever back in Iceland we would definitely stay here again.

Large rooms and beautiful views
Very nice location at the top of a huge hill. Family owned and operated. Nice bar and restaurant table are set up in a banquet style. Breakfast buffet is huge and our dinner the night we got there was very nice with the chef specials. I had artic chard and my friend had stuffed peppers - both were tasty. Rooms were very large. It was windy when we stayed and we were able to catch some northern lights! A nice experience.

Average hotel, but best for large tour groups
This hotel is best for huge tour groups - when we arrived the lobby was completely packed with tour groups - so if you're looking for a cozy stay with a partner or friends - I wouldn't recommend. The breakfast is also packed with tour groups - so you need to had breakfast later to have a more comfortable stay. The rooms are very basic - and there's not even bed-side plugs available - so you need to plug your phone in across the room. While the room was fine - not a very nice experience for the very high cost.

Large comfortable hotel aimed at coach parties
A large hotel geared up for coach tours. Rooms are large and very comfortable. Had we know about the large number of coach tours staying we would have looked for a smaller hotel as Breakfast was chaos.

Nice hotel along the coast
Nice hotel with standard accommodations suitable for couples or groups. Lots of room here and a great buffet for breakfast. They also offered dinner. About a 10-15 min drive to Reyjsfanara beach.

Hótel Dyrhólaey was perfect for us, the room was nice and clean and had a lovely view of a glacier topped mountain. The breakfast buffet exceeded my expectations, there was plenty of food available and a very nice selection as well. Would definitely stay here again.

It was really clean and nice, the staff were the nicest persons you can meet. Food is great and not much more expensive than in other places. You need a car to get there but there are things close-by.

4/10 Fair

The exterior of the building is unappealing. Once inside the lobby is nice but our room was all the way in the end and had a view of the parking lot. The room itself was drab. Staff was nice but at 6:15 we asked for a drink at the bar and concierge said that staff was likely getting dinner ready and we would have to wait until 6:30 for either a drink or dinner I guess. We left and went to a pub instead. The view from the restaurant is nice but online hypes up this hotel way too much. For the price I was disappointed. This hotel needs updating and more ample views of the gorgeous scenery on top of the hill. This was my least favorite stay if my 5 day Iceland trip and was one of the more expensive hotels. I don’t recommend because of the price versus the experience/view/ambience/staffing. The entire hotel looked to be run by very young staff that seemed overwhelmed.
