Wonderful place to stay. Beautiful ocean view. You can see the sun set, lobster boats, islands..... However there is no TV in the room and the kitchen facilities are shared.

6/10 Good

Poor service with a good view.
Upon checking in at 5:30 PM the staff quickly told us where the room was, that the restaurant was closed and acted like we were keeping them their when on line it said the office was open until 8PM. When we got back from trying to find anything open for dinner, which we could not so settled for a frozen pizza, we found our room had no towels or info for connecting to wifi and the office was closed at 6:45 PM. No number was ever given in case we needed anything. In the morning upon check out we just found a note on the office desk that said someone would be in at noon and to just leave the key. So we were never able to get towels because there was never anyone to ask. Not being from there we were not aware most things were closed for the season or that most things closed at 7 or earlier and that information should have been provided by the inn when checking in. One positive, the cool view of the bay which was good because there was no TV in the room.

Comfortable stay on the water
Renovated sardine factory right on the water. Comfortable and clean rooms. Walls a little thin as we could hear snoring in the next room. Restaurant was not open for dinner any longer (seasonal) so dining in the area was a challenge. Service and staff were excellent. Location excellent for accessing great hiking trails.

This property is very convenient to the bridge to Campobello Island and has a nice (if very busy) restaurant attached. I was not crazy about the layout.

The highlight of our stay was the location at the top of the hill, a short distance from the “office” and the restaurant. The deck outside our door was spacious and had a great view of the bay. So peaceful. Fishing boats in front of us, Campobello Island to the right. Sea birds diving for fish. We enjoyed the restaurant and also tried the comfortable cafe downtown (a very short drive, or refreshing walk).

2/10 Poor

Very rarely am I so glad to check out. This place, although they seem to try to do well, and the staff is nice enough, they just do not seem to know what they are doing. When I went into my room, it had yet to be serviced from the previous guests. Once I was in, after a very quick cleanup, it just did not feel clean. Place is super noisy until just after 10 PM. You hear every conversation, every phone ringing, every thump, every door closing, every sliding of furniture on the tile floors. I expected, based on what I read online about the place, a refrigerator and microwave in my room. Turns out, those are in one common area for everyone to use. Basically, there are no decent places to stay on the entire southeast corner of Maine. Unfortunately, this place is probably the best one.

The inn is in a convenient location and has a good seafood restaurant right next door. The rooms have not been updated or painted in a few years but are clean and plenty of room in the room. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony outside which was outside of our room.

This is a special property. Old sardine factory "on the wharf" converted to hotel. Working dock for lobster boats. Attached restaurant with excellent lobster and other seafood dishes. Highly recommend if you are coming back into USA from Campobello Island.

Sunrise over Campobello
The building is not in great shape but the views make it such an amazing spot to stay. The water is literally outside your patio door. You can see the sunrise and the sunset. We saw a whale slip by as the day was ending.

Overall a good stay. Always disappointed by prices on the area of $150. Walls are not sound proofed. Conversations and clumping around could be clearly heard. Would consider staying there again if ever in Lubec.
