Attended a 100th and a 50th birthday lunch. Meal was delicious attentive staff. As we had come some distance we stayed overnight. Couldn’t fault the room, towel rail in toilet/shower room was lovely and hot. Nothing beats drying yourself with a warm towel. Enjoyed our stay, would highly recommend.

Nice little hotel right on coastline. Very friendly staff that went out of their way to help. Beds were very comfortable. Windows made very high pitched whistle due to high winds. Bathroom could have been cleaner, dirt around bath handles and shower head dirty. Found pair of bedtime shorts inside of my childs bed that didnt belong to us. Decor needs updating as a bit dark.

High up in a residential neighborhood with views. Good kitchen on premise. Overnight guests should be aware that overpriced breakfast is not included. Exposed building gets a noisy buffeting when the wind is up.

Try hard but need to do a little more.
Staff were very friendly especially the reception staff and the young girl in the restaurant. Food in the restaurant was a reasonable price, a good portion and served well. The room was tired and the windowsill was coffee stained and the paint was peeling. The kettles lead didn't reach the socket which meant we had to put the kettle on the floor for boiling. The bathroom was adequate but could have done with some shelving in the en suite to make life a little easier. Small things, really, but things that mattered to us as we stayed for more than one night. As we were leaving we were told that The Rocks was due for refurbishment, I just hope it's soon. A little disappointing for the price we paid but if refurbishment is done soon, we may well try it again - everyone deserves a second chance.

Fantastic Location
Small, quiet hotel with tremendous seascape views. Allowed to check in early as room was ready. Great room with huge bath and balcony overlooking sea and rocks. All staff helpful and friendly.
Local seafood on menu and nice set up in restaurant. Menu isn't too ambitious but everything cooked and presented well.
Maybe some space to sit with just drink or coffee would be good as all tables, seats were set up for eating meals....though not all occupied. Maybe we missed it but seemed nowhere to sit inside for residents, reading etc., outwith rooms....and no easy chair in room either. Luckily weather allowed some use of small garden outside/balcony, which did have some seating. All in all, a nice small hotel and a definite cut above others we've experienced at similar price.

Short stay
Hubby, myself and daughter stayed for two nights. Room was large, clean although a bit dated. Some TLC needed. Bathroom spacious, but also in need of some decorating. Very noisy water pipes. A large replastered patch on ceiling. Our room was at top of the stairs, so was a bit noisy when other guests passed
by. A lot of old features though which was nice to see. Pleasant staff. We didn't eat there but restaurant looked very busy. Hotel overlooks the water, lovely setting. Sadly our windows looked elsewhere. More expensive than where we usually stay, and didn't include breakfast. All in all though I had a great sleep which is what matters!

A lovely hotel
A really nice stay, the building is full of character and situated in a great place with some fantastic views. The room was very clean, we were lucky to have a balcony however there were some dirty glasses and a champagne bottle left on the balcony from previous guests. Dinner was excellent and I stay here again

Night in Dunbar
Fast and friendly service from check in through check out. Serve meals on-site and attracts locals too for food and drink too. Rooms are smallish but orderly. Prime views of the North Sea and harbor.

Good for a stopover
The hotel is located within a few minutea of town overlooking the coastline. Our room was not large but comfortable with a clean medium size ensure. Staff and check in were very good. There was an intermittent knocking heard for most of the evening (sounded like a door knocking in the wind) and sounds were obvious from the hall. Fortunately these did not last through the night. Light sleepers may need to be aware of this. Otherwise the hotel is fine.

On the Rocks !
Clean, comfy room, more of a B&B, no a/c but ok, great views from outside of hotel, but not from our room. Friendly staff. Internet was out so no WiFi... was providers fault not hotels. If you have a rental car, it’s only about 25 min drive to Edinburgh which is an amazing city !!!!!

Hotel was very nice, fantastic location, and staff were very friendly. If I had any criticism it could do with a lick of paint and various snags sorted out. For example, in my room, the toilet seat lid was not screwed on properly.

Just OK
Good service for food and drink but the room was tired and basic with very small bathroom.git the last twin room and thought £87 for the night was a bit steep given the room and the location.
