If you want to give your credit card some exercise, head out to Ayala Center in San Lorenzo. Our travelers also like the cathedral and churches in the area. It's also full of great shops and restaurants, so you can spend the afternoon having a wander. Splash some more cash at Glorietta Mall, Greenbelt Shopping Mall, and SM Makati.

Makati is a nice island in the midst of a massive, traffic-choked metropolis. Depending on the time of day, it can take you well over an hour to get to the airport. If you consult a map, you'll see how horrific that can be.

I've been to Makati more than 30 times (for work), and find it very convenient and safe. Within a few minutes walk you have lots of restaurants, cafes, many shopping centres and supermarkets.

Be prepared for beggars every day. Very busy area and traffic is a nightmare sane as the driving expect slow movement to go anywhere. Highly recommend bar called Handlebars, food very reasonably good quality many sports shown on various TV's and good

Makati's CBD is in many ways the best of the modern world that the Philippines has to offer, and One Pacific Place being within Salcedo Village's dining scene is an absolute perk. Even outside that neighborhood there's more to see in town too

Makati feels safe. There are some areas you have to be cautious of walking to unless you are looking for that kind of scene. Aside from that the area is one I would recommend in general & you are not far from places to visit including BGC

We've owned a condo in Belair Makati for last 20 years. Great rental property. Little sketchy after dark but that's the beauty of this bustling Red Light district. Always busy late into the evening!

There are some areas in Makati that you would think are older, lower income areas. But... that is the Philipines. You could never be safer and the Filipino spirit is abundantly friendly.
"Makati Diamond Residences feels like a hidden gem in the Makati CBD, one that we prefer staying in every time we need to be in the area for an extended period. From the staff, to the accommodations, and food (not to mention its unbeatable proximity to Greenbelt), it offers guests a pleasant stay at a great value. "
"the atmosphere of the lobby feels welcoming. all the staffs very helpful and always smiling. bed and pillows i love and the proximity to the shops are plus.
no negatives on my part."
"Amazing place, amazing stay, Great room and heavenly bed and bedding. Stayed in a King Deluxe which had the biggest bed I've ever seen. Very clean with a very nice atmosphere. Amenities galore Rooftop bar provided great food along with both SMG Light and Pilsen on tap. Great location being 1 block from P Burgos. I've stayed many times at Seda which is also a very nice stay, but this is hands down better especially for the value. My future stays will be right here. The only issue to note, the 3 elevators are very busy, but that's because this place is a very popular stay."
"Easy to book. Easy to contact. Great for shopping. Never stayed so high in the air. Great view of city skyline. Thanks for accommodating us so well. "
