Cusco is a city where, as a tourist, you often need to be places on time. Kimsa hotel caused us problems with this twice in a one-night stay. On our first day, check-in was at 11:00. When we arrived at 11:20, the room was not ready. After telling us that it would be ready in five minutes, the employee at the front desk told us at 11:25 that it might be ready in fifteen minutes. On our second morning, we had to be at a tour at 8:00. At 7:20, there was no hot water. We asked the employee at the front desk, "When will there be hot water?" "Soon!" We asked if she could please call the other employee who could fix the hot water. "I don't need to call him, because he'll be here soon." At 8:45—having missed our tour—there was still no hot water.
Although the common spaces were pleasant, the shower ceiling was covered in black mold.
We booked this hotel on a half-off deal, and it was still a bad bargain; we moved out after the first night. Do not stay here.
