100% Satisfaction!!
Trucountry Inn was a very pleasant experience. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. They wanted to make sure we were comfortable and tending too. I recommend this place 100%. If we are ever in Brady Texas again I will be sure to stay there again. We have also told others how wonderful this place was.

we arrived at 5 PM and the room was not cleaned yet, the online add said private bathroom and the bathroom was down the hall shared by everyone on the side, since the room was not ready and there was not a bathroom in the room we did not stay

Lovely old building just off the square in Brady,
Extremely nice owner who is struggling with getting this place in shape. Bar was closed for renovations. Our first room the keyed lock didn't work. The 2nd room was OK. Two window air cons which kept me awake most of the night. Roach on the floor in the "kitchen" and a cricket in the cupboard. It's an old building so we expected some issues. Twenty stairs to get to the 2nd floor and no elevator. We had booked the "Elvis" room but they switched us to another room, and then another. Owner complained about not being able to get good help.

When we arrived, there was no one in the lobby. After 10 minutes, 4 other customers arrived. We all waited an additional 15 to 20 minutes for someone to come check us in. One of the other waiting guests located a # to call. The hotel custodian Amber (who was very kind and helpful) came to the lobby. She had to call someone to get us checked-in. When we were shown our room, we discovered it had no toilet or shower in the room, they were communal down the hall. Fortunately, there was an available room with a bathroom & shower in the room. We were charged the difference for the room price (paid in cash per their request). On the up side, our room was the Willie & Waylon room. It appeared to have been recently renovated, was very clean, nicely decorated and the beds were comfortable. It also had comfortable couch with 2 recliners and large screen TV (about 65" to 75"). If you like antiques, you will enjoy the lobby and the hallways. All of the rooms are only accessible via one or two flights of stairs, depending on which floor your room is located. With hands full of luggage, it was a bit of a challenge to navigate. It was an interesting place to stay and reasonably priced, but a one and done visit for us.

The only thing that could be improved is the parking on the weekends. Seems like the bar and banquet guests get most of the parking lot if you come back to the hotel late. Leaving parking on the street as only option.

A nice historic hotel in the center of town. Easy access to everything, restaurants, gas shopping! Didn’t see any ghosts , but maybe next time Bonnie or Clyde will stop in !

No elevator to accommodate handicapped guest, I booked the Willie and Waylon room only to find out when I arrived this room was under maintenance and I was showed another room that was a complete joke. I would have been more impressed if they took outside and asked to share a cardboard box with a homeless person. I was charged 100$ they should have paid me 100$ to stay there. Might I also say there was no bathroom in the room, I would have had to walk down the corridor to use a shared bathroom. I was told I would receive a full refund, it’s now been three days and I’m still waiting for the refund

Enjoyed my stay. Clean, quiet and enjoyable. All and all okay except for this time there was this strong order of urine as you went up the stairs. It was terrible!

first there was no bathroom in the original room (which I should have seen booking the room) had to stand on the bed to turn on the light and the ceiling was very high. so then we either had light and fan or neither unless we stood on the bed to turn one off. The ac never cooled the room down. We were there for a wedding but had to get dressed elsewhere due to no lighting in the room. also one employee knocked on our door to see who was staying in the room because they had people in rooms that did not belong. Also someone tried to come in our room in the middle of the night twice so no sleep for us. A lot of shady people walking up and down the alley beside the hotel. last I am completely covered in bed bug bites

Not our best stay here….
First of all, the establishment itself is fine but the area around it has declined substantially…. there is now another bar within the same block ( the hotel has one in the lobby also) .. so the night we stayed ( our most recent stay) there was a huge fight in the street right near the hotel , police were called and there were many people hanging out in the parking lot of the hotel way past midnight ( we know this bc we had to go out and retrieve a phone charger from the vehicle ) ….. unsettling for sure!…. Such a shame, we liked this place before and have stayed here on multiple occasions and had never experienced anything like this……
