"I had visited Kalkan on four previous occasions and enjoyed the lovely bar at the Elixir Hotel, although I had never stayed here. "We found the hotel to largely be good. Great pool and rooms although a bit of a walk uphill from town. Breakfast was good, but the coffee was as I think another person on here said, awful. A few downsides, which I didn’t have the energy to raise with staff, were the fan in our room was broken, the AC only had one setting and was partially broken, and the drainage in our bathroom smelt awful, stinking out the room. "Beautiful location and outlook. (Standard) room was small but very clean with comfortable bed and decently designed. Service was very helpful and friendly, if sometimes less than slick. Food was pretty good and we very much appreciated efforts to cater for a gluten free diet (they made fries in fresh oil for us every day). The pool area is lovely with stunning views. The ‘beach’ is beautifully situated but small. Easy to get into town. We had a very nice week."

"The Hotel commands good views of the Peninsula and also has a well kept pool and pool area. Some of the rooms can be quite boxy so we opted for a mezzanine room which was much better. The beach is not connected to the hotel but via a nearby partner hotel which is accessible via a short trip on a golf cart.
