Relax in our elegant lobby, featuring a central seating area with sofas and armchairs, a bar, and high ceilings.

"Our room was clean and comfortable, the location was great and pay parking lot behind hotel was convenient but a bit expensive. The area has many local attractions within walking distance, and areas to swim. As well as coffee, restaurants and bars. The bar at the hotel was a nice amenity, we enjoyed sitting outside in the evenings. Two things that we missed in our room was having an iron in the room, and access to ice. "

Relax by the pool surrounded by sun loungers and umbrellas, with scenic views of the sea and distant hills.

"Nice clean decent sized room. Plenty of choice for breakfast hot and cold. Nice pools across the road by the sea front. Short walk to main area with lots of restaurants. Not many parking spaces, we were lucky as someone was leaving. Streets rammed with cars so not a lot of parking elsewhere. Reception staff wasn’t overly friendly insisting on a voucher from Expedia which we didn’t have but then the manager said it was ok."

"Well this is a weird one… on the surface Hotel Kvarner is fabulous, glamorous even and the breakfast is truly exceptional - champagne anyone?! Little details however betray its pretentions… the layout of the room (215) was very awkward with too much big furniture to get round and it was impossible to shower (over the bath) without flooding the floor - why are there no rooms with showers? While citing sustainable credentials on towel use, the policy was not followed and all the towels were...

"If you want a very local-feeling hotel, this fits the bill. Beach area is concrete w/lounge chairs. Check-in person was very gracious but evening person was the opposite. We needed extra towels because shower had created wet mess in bathroom — told that would cost extra. (The manager did finally approve replacement dry towels). Room view was outstanding, breakfast buffet was sufficient. Bars of soap smallest possible. Surprised it is 4 stars; more like 3."
