"Popilia was an incredible place to stay. Eveything about the resort is amazing. The staff is incredibly friendly and was always very helpful. The rooms are comfortable and immaculately kept. The grounds are also meticulously maintianed. The pools is huge and makes you feel like you are in the Caribbean. The restaurant is also very good. If i had to give one criticism it would be to have a wider selection of food options for lunch or dinner. Otherwise 10 out of 10!!"

"Absolutely shattered after a long day cycling to Vibo, really friendly efficient check in and then a super nice bartender ( rocksi I think ) who went out of her way to make me a sandwich as the kitchen was closed, then negotiated the restaurant opening 30 mins early for me so I could eat and sleep ready for tomorrows ride. Really kind and very much appreciated ! Superstar"

"This is a very unique hotel, it has a real 70s vibe however, don't get me wrong it also has a real charm. From the elevator down to the beach, to the tropical plants, to the hand paintings to the live music at night. Very quaint. Dinners and breakfasts were good as well. I did find they didn't speak much English and catered more to older German clients. Oh and it does have a nice view of Stromboli at night "

"Stayed here for one night. Grounds are very pretty and hotel is based on the side of quite a steep hill so quite a lot of stairs and ramps. There are some lifts to parts of property but not all and they are in odd locations, for example one led to a pitch black banquet hall that you needed to pass through. "Beautiful, quiet retreat just a short 5 min taxi ride into bustling Tropea. We had 3 rooms but some were much smaller. The resort is a retreat for peace. But note: no store on site, limited access to food only during meal times & the beach is a climb down, very small & no service only chairs & umbrellas. Still a great spot.
