"We stayed at the Spice House for 5 days as part of a 3 week tour of Sri Lanka. Its well placed for easy walking to local restaurants, beaches and sights and the owner was able to arrange transport and guides to further afield locations.

"Really nice and clean room but everything else where terrible, dirty and very old. The staff was laying in the few chairs and there were no place else to sit, not even in the small garden. We wantet a quiet vaccation but it was noicy from the mainstreet in front. We decided to leave again after 2 nights even we already paid for more."

"Very dated furniture/ decor and a little basic , no hot water insects in the bathroom , However all is forgiven when you step onto the balcony the view was to die for could have sat on that balcony everyday for the rest of my life , truly phenomenal "

"Beautiful property, very well decorated and surrounded by nature. It is a little far from main road in Mirissa but honestly that was a plus, they offer a free tuk tuk to/from main road and I much prefer the quietness and secluded area where the DCanal is located. Very good

"Cleaning every third day. Lack of shampo and toilet paper. One towel per person. Two coffe and one tea bag for two person during five days. Poor Internet-barely possible to stream…(no tv in the room). You probably get what you pay for. Low price and good location close to the beach. Ok
