I mean from the ladies and gentlemen greeting/checking in guests, the valet guys, housekeeping (the lady with the short haircut) thanks for bringing the microwave up, and the lovely gentleman who came to the room to assist with our luggage. I appreciate the hospitality.

Location perfect, the rest meh
For family vacation, it's perfect for walking everywhere to be on river, because you have art institute, millennium Park, nederlander theater, etc. on one side, and miracle mile, bluebottle, arcade, AMC, escape rooms, best restaurants etc on the other. Even younger children can walk 3 blocks to reach everything. Hotel itself is definitely not luxury. Dated decor beyond lobby. Lukewarm (at best) shower. Hoyts had terrible coffee and closed an hour early (turning us away) the one time we tried to go for after dinner dessert. We heard everything in the room next door through the connecting door (including a happy dog). There are a lot of great options nearby (Loew's, Swissotel, and more) so we won't be staying here next time.

Room with a view
Perfect location to explore downtown Chicago. We were able to check bags early and at the end of our stay so that we did not lose any time having to drag bags around. It had easy access to Millennium Station and to the Blue line metro to O’Hare. The view from the windows was breathtaking. Comfortable bed, quiet, and perfect room temp. Friendly staff who were responsive and helped with our special requests (such as having one person pay for multiple rooms).

We were put in the second to the highest floor and had an amazing view of the river and buildings. I hated having to see TRUMP any time I looked out the window!! The door men and valet guys were fun and friendly. Juan at Hoyt's was great as was the blonde server in the evening with the stick figure tattoos on her fingers! I loved that we could have our dogs there. The pet information needs to be updated on the website since the pet beds, bowls, and letters were not in tve room as the info seemed to suggest. Nevertheless, the hotel waa great. Beds wonderful. My only complaint is that there was not free coffee in the lobby.

Room with a view. Amazing!!
We checked in. The staff was very friendly. He said your room is ready. When we got our key it was for the top floor. Didn’t know how to feel until we got to our room. It did not disappoint. We had the most amazing view. Can’t imagine coming to Chicago and not having this room. Definitely will be back.

Top stay in Chicago!
I love staying here whenever we visit chicago. The location is perfect. Service is top-notch. I love that the staff is the same. I recognize the same bellmen/concierge and the same wait staff in Hoyt’s which tells me the hotel treats their people well. The Rooms are so comfortable. The beds and pillows make a comfortable sleep and the bathroom amenities are lovely. Thanks again Royal Sonesta! We will be back

December stay downtown Chicago.
Great location to head to theaters or shopping. We enjoyed the more modern decore. Easy to adjust the temp in the room. Check in was fast and all the staff was friendly & helpful. Concierge parking from in front of the hotel or there was at least one self park garage within a block.
