Comfy beds, unwelcoming customer service
Really rude customer service. The guy was very uninviting. The older woman seemed nice. I thought it was very unprofessional they had a dog behind the desk with food back their too for people to buy. The beds were super comfy. The room was clean. Jacuzzi tub in room was big enofor two comfortably. The windows in the room were small. The tv was small. The bathroom was nice and clean. The housekeepers do a great job.

very nice
nice location on the water, friendly staff and clean. Second time staying here, within walking distance to ferry and town, if you like to walk, it is about 1 1/2 miles.

6/10 Good

Beautiful property. Room had STRONG odor of cleaning products. I asked for a different room and told none available and same cleaning products used in all rooms. No one from staff came to our room to understand our concerns. I was told to open the slider to air out the room. That did work after a few hours however if it had been a cold winter day that would not be an option. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone with allergies or asthma. Hotel accepted pets charging $35 fee however area for dogs did not have a waste container nor did it have a poop bag dispenser.

The rooms felt just clean enough to tolerate, although the bathrooms may have early onset mold. A little maintenance would not hurt.

Listed amenities ARE CONTRARY TO ACTUAL CONDITIONS
All listings did not match actual conditions. Breakfast not included. Pets were allowed, however, listed as "not allowed" on the website. Pool closed, although I specifically booked it as it appeared to be a nice pool. The voucher they included for another pool was rated as unsanitary so we elected not to use the voucher. Voucher discount was for a crappy breakfast. Hotel booking, I called the lobby and specifically asked for a room away from the elevator and confirmed with staff. Bonnie said we were on the opposite end from the elevator. We were in fact booked right next to the elevator and ice machine. Tile was cracked and damaged in the bathroom. Carpets were saturated. Smell in lobby is likely due to sewer main backup. Moisture caused soft floor in lobby area. Blood was seen on beds at sides of bedsheets. We made it through the stay but I was very disappointed with booking. Thankfully our family powered through it and we had a good time. When you pay near $200 a night, you expect better.

2/10 Poor

False advertisement! There was no open pool or swimming, no mini golf like it states and not even microwaves in the rooms!!

2/10 Poor

Disappointing Stay
Hotel looks like it dates back to the 70s. Paid $200 for a room that was dimly lit and uncomfortable. Water park was closed down when we went - no water in pool, just looked abandoned. Arcade was run down and overlooked the empty water park which was creepy. Only 3 actual games in the arcade and one did not even work (bowling). When we checked in at 6:30pm, our room was not even ready. We were told by the front desk staff that they had to call in extra housekeepers because the ones that were there weren’t doing their job. Was told our room would be ready then went to it to find housekeeping had just started cleaning and it would be another half hour. Switched to a different room and that one had a broken tv that woke me up at 3am by flashing on and off until we unplugged it. Overall I would recommend you stay at any other hotel on that strip - this one was poorly managed and rundown.

The view of the bridge was nice. The room was fine. The ceiling fan in the bath hadn't been clean in a long time. I did clean it. There was some wear and tear on the base of the dresser. The screen door could use some attention. The front desk was very nice.

Lobby and hallways smelled funky. Room was ok. Front of Air conditioner unit was covered in dust. Musty smell. Bed was lumpy. Nice area though. Right in the beach. Ok view of the bridge. Allow pets.

I truly enjoyed my stay. No frills. Coffee is provided. This property has a private Beach access, with fire pits and adderondeck chairs. Beautiful sunrise. Great view of the Mackenaw Bridge. I would definitely come back.

The property was okay. There was a joint and lighter left on balcony from previous guests and not cleaned. Dead fly in bathroom tub. Room door you had to pull to ensure it was closed. No breakfast which is disappointing and with water park closed there wasn’t a pool option.

Last minutes trip
My girlfriend and I wanted to visit the area for hiking and access close to the Dark Park. So we booked this hotel with the lake view and we enjoyed it very much. It was only 3 minute drive to restaurants and downtown Mackinaw City and only 10 minutes to the Dark Park. The room had a great view & mini hot tub. No free breakfast was the only drawback but we did not mind.

The advertised indoor water park was closed for season. The water was only luke warm in the room until management was informed and another water heater was turned on. Trying to save money? Not prepared even though the place appeared to be nearly full.
