Mixed feelings… before I get into the specifics…I would stay here again.
The great: the location and overall aesthetic. The location is right in the heart of town. Easy walk to eveyrthing.
Jorge at the pool deck is GREAT! His service is phenomenal. The roof top pool deck, bar and view is reason enough to stay here. I added another day to my trip just because of it. (I stayed 4 nights at Casa San Agustin) and 2 nights here.
The service overall is very good as well. Jhordan the concierge was great. They had my room ready early and allowed me to check out an hour late. They help you to and from your room with your luggage also and are quite prompt. Everyone was friendly and accommodating.
The good: the food I had at the pool was tasty! Fried fish , rice with coconut and grilled mixed veggies. The drinks were also good. The ordered breakfast was also nice. The Arepa con queso was delish.
The “needs work”: rooms are in need of quality review and maintenance. Stained furniture, peeling walls, low water pressure (sink), mold issues (hard to combat in high humidity and heavy rains but still), heavy dust build up on ceiling fans, shower floors that don’t drain properly and inconsistent toiletries/robes. The beds could also use a topper as I found them a bit hard and I like a firm mattress.
The breakfast buffet left something to be desired (stale croissants, tasteless watery scrambled eggs and fruit flys galore) but plentiful in options. Just order from the kitchen.
