Nice base for exploring Doha
The hotel is part of a collection of several properties all part of the same group, Souk Waqif Tivoli. We booked a room for 3, but had to change hotels when our initial room was too small. The hotel was clean, and luxurious. The staff were very friendly. There didn’t seem to be a regular front desk attendant and the security guard had to call the up every time we needed something which was a little inconvenient. The location was excellent, right at the entrance of the souk where there were many dining and shopping opportunities.

They couldn't do enough for us and helped in every way - even arriving at our door at 4:00 am to give us a breakfast to take to the airport! The staff at Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels by Tivoli were very kind and welcoming, and the location was perfect, right in the heart of the souq. However, the overall experience did not live up to a five-star standard. Upon arrival, the room had an unpleasant smell, and the bathroom did not appear properly cleaned, which was disappointing. While the staff's friendliness was a highlight, the hotel needs to improve its cleanliness and overall luxury experience to truly meet five-star expectations.

The location of Souq Waqif cannot be beat. Walking distance to shops, restaurants, the falcon souq, stables of camels and horses, craft and art boutiques and studios. The staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was good. Souq Waqif is an excellent choice for Doha visitors
